The Van Gogh Ukulele Experience Workshop: A Creative Success Story

Our “Van Gogh Starry Night Ukulele Workshop” (14-15 June) wrapped up beautifully this weekend. Watching participants hold up their one-of-a-kind colourful ukuleles with beaming smiles reminded us why we love bringing art and music together.
Expert Teaching Made All the Difference
We brought in Kenji Sir from Bubble Time Art to teach Van Gogh's painting techniques, and he was absolutely fantastic. His friendly, encouraging approach helped everyone feel confident about trying something new.
"Everyone has creative abilities," Kenji Sir told the group. "You just need to be willing to try. Once people see that Van Gogh's swirls and star dots are actually pretty simple to do, they get really excited about creating."
A Perfect Two-Day Experience
Day One: The Joy of Building Participants spent the afternoon carefully assembling their ukuleles. The room was peaceful and focused as everyone worked with their hands, enjoying the simple satisfaction of putting something together piece by piece.
Day Two: Creative Explosion This is where the magic happened. Under Kenji Sir's guidance, everyone learned Van Gogh's techniques and put their own spin on "The Starry Night." We saw pink starry nights, bright green swirls, and classic blue-yellow designs. Each ukulele became a personal work of art.
Amazing Results
"I can't believe I made this!" one participant exclaimed. That's exactly the reaction we hope for—people discovering they're more creative than they thought and having genuine fun with art.
Everyone received an official certificate from the Van Gogh Sites Foundation, which adds real value to their artistic journey and connects them to Van Gogh's legacy.
