STEAM into the Metaverse

Educators are often burdened with the task of teaching the latest and greatest skills to students. However, very often they are not equiped with the right tools to do that. With this in mind, we offer our Sandbox Experience to help teachers teach their students about aspects of Web3 and also participate through hands-on projects.

Starting with STEAM education, an area educators today are most familiar with, students assemble their own ukulele and personalize it with their own design. Through tutorials accessible through Chunks.ai, students learn from educators on diffent aspects of Web3 and learn to digitize their ukulele into a voxel art through guidance from industry professionals. The artwork would then be minted into NFT and exhibited on The Sandbox. Each NFT would also be made available for sale, with profits to be donated to charities to help enable more people around the world to learn music.

Start With STEAM Education

Visualizing in 3D can be challenging for young people. To help them become creators in the metaverse, we begin by providing them with a STEAM exercise - assembling their own ukulele. Not only does this activity help them understand how a musical instrument works, but it also helps them develop their motor skills, concentration, and increases their attention span. Most importantly, when they finish, they have an instrument and a game to help them explore the joy of playing the ukulele.

Personalise With Visual Arts

Personalization plays an important role in engaging students. It helps develop a true sense of ownership and attachment towards a created product - in this case, a ukulele. With this emotional attachment, students are more engaged and ready to excel in their learning.

Digitize and Mint Into NFTs

With NFTs, we extend the feeling of ownership by not only teaching students how to digitize their physical ukulele, but also by minting it into an NFT, creating true digital ownership. Students can forever claim that they were the creator of the artwork, backed by data stored on the blockchain.

Exhibit on the Metaverse

Very often, works of art by students are only showcased in a limited local area, such as their school or local community. The Sandbox Experience provides students with the opportunity to showcase their art to the world by exhibiting it on The Sandbox, a metaverse that recorded over 17 million visits by over 360,000 global users during its recent Alpha Season 3 event.

NFTs For Charity Sale

All the NFTs on exhibit are made available for a charity sale, with all profits being donated to charities, helping to gain access to music for charities and schools around the world. With this, students would be the donors, with Chord Hero facilitating the donations.
