Most instruments take months to feel like progress. This one is built and painted the first afternoon, by hand, by the person who'll play it — then strung the next day, once the glue has set.
02 — Ownership
Impossible to abandon.
Your own painting is on the soundboard — which makes it something you made rather than something you were given. A present gets put down. Work doesn't.
03 — The method
It hears which string you muted.
ChordVentures listens to what you actually play and names the string that isn't ringing. It won't play the chord for you — the hands stay yours.
04 — The record
We keep the first attempt.
The sketch that got painted over, the take where the chord still buzzed, the date each one happened. A finished thing proves nothing now — anyone can produce one in seconds. A trail is what shows it was made.
